The Champions League group stage draw will take place later today. Europe's elite will once again battle it out for European club supremacy.
The Frontrunners and Fresh Faces
Manchester City, who won the tournament in Istanbul the previous season, will once again be favourites. However the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich,Paris Saint Germain will looking to take the crown away from Pep Guardiola's side. The competion will also see the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal will return to the competition. Newcastle United will also make their Champions League debut under Eddie Howe this year.

How does the draw work
The 32 teams have been split into four seeding pots. Pot 1 will consist of the holders, the UEFA Europa League winners and six domestic champions. Pots 2 to 4 are determined by the club coefficient rankings.
No team can play a side from their own association. Paired clubs from the same country will play on separate days. Any other restrictions will be announced ahead of the draw.

Pot 1: Manchester City, Sevilla, Barcelona, Napoli, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Benfica, Feyenoord
