CELTIC have unveiled their new third kit but the unusual bright pink colour has prompted a backlash from supporters on social media.
The choice of shade is inspired by the colour of the match-day tickets to the club’s most famous victory – the 1967 European Cup final win over Inter Milan.
Next year marks the 50th anniversary of that 2-1 win, which took place in Lisbon, but even the nostalgic connection hasn’t convinced most fans that it’s worth investing their hard-earned cash in.
Club captain Scott Brown told Celtic's official website: “The 1967 team blazed a trail across Europe on their way to the final in Lisbon which to this day still remains one of the biggest highlights in this club’s illustrious history.
"It’s an inspiration to think we are following in the footsteps of legends like these and this great history makes Celtic such a special club.”
Unconvinced, ‘Minging’, ‘awful’, and ‘dreadful’ are just some of the more lenient words being used to describe it by fans on Twitter in particular, with the club having revealed the design on Monday morning.

@celticfc This is an awful kit. As if there was a coloured sock hiding in a group of white clothes in a washing machine
