YOU MAY not have heard of Conor Noss before, but with his attitude and ability, you might be hearing a lot more of him soon enough.
Noss, whose surname is written as Noß in German, plays for Borussia Monchengladbach, and has made the Bundesliga squad on a number of occasions.
His mother was born in Ireland, and while Conor has been on Germany's radar for a while, he has repeatedly voiced his desire to play for Ireland.
He has already played for Ireland at under-19 level, and could bring a touch of class to Jim Crawford's new-look under 21 squad.
And based on this interview ahead of Friday's friendly game against Wales, Noss sounds absolutely raring to go.
He said: "It feels great. I'm really happy and proud to be here. I'm excited to get started.
"I'm really excited about this new generation. We have a really talented group of players. The future of Irish football is in good hands, it's now up to us to prove that."
Strong words.
Love this from Conor Noss 💪🇮🇪
