London GAA County Board

Itinerary of events for 1916 Celebrations: Fri 22nd April – Michael Collins Schools Tournament at Tir Chonaill Gaels Grounds, 9.30 start. Saturday 30th April – Youth Underage Hurling Day Ruislip 10am-2pm. Saturday 30th April – Tara Camogie 7's (Tir Chonaill Gaels Greenford) all day and from 7pm in Ruislip a special evening of traditional music – Ceoil agus Craic (musicians invited to attend). Sunday 1st May – London Youth Development Squad v Warwickshire, 1.15pm, Ruislip; 2.50pm – A reading of the Proclamation by followed by Amhrán na bhFiann; 3pm London v Louth – 1916 Commemoration Football Challenge Match; HT Mini Exhibition – Youth Committee/and a draw for 2 x London v Mayo Tickets; 5pm London Juniors v Lancashire. Special Commemoration Plaque presented to the visiting teams. Evening music and after match party. Monday 2nd May – London Ladies 7’s Tournament from 10am, Ruislip. Warwickshire GAA County Board

On Sunday 24th April at Paírc na hEireann to commemorate the 1916 Easter Rising, the proclamation will be read out and the National Anthem Amhrán na bhFiann, will be sung before both matches again for the county to pay its respects to those who were involved in the Easter Rising and to celebrate the actions of that day.

Thomas McCurtains

Last weekend our hurlers recorded a great win in the Ronan Cup while our footballers lost out in the semi-final of the McArdle Cup. The Camogie team gave a fantastic account of the club in Birmingham, winning all three of their games in the British League beating Erin go Bragh, Fullen Gaels & Brother Pearses. This weekend we're all off to Cork! The Football, Hurling and Ladies Football teams are visiting Passage West to play in a series of challenge matches to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Rising.

St Anthony's GAA (Reading)

Men’s training has now moved to our home pitch in Kingsmeadow and will be at 7.15pm on Tuesday and Thursday night for the next few weeks. We take on Cu Chullains in the preliminary round of the Intermediate championship this coming Sunday at 1pm in Ruislip. Underage training has started Saturdays in Kings Meadow - Napier Rd, Reading RG1 8DF - at 3 pm. Please contact Bart Ballantine 07736630442.

Kilburn Gaels

We had no competitive games at the weekend. The club organised a challenge match against the Pearce's which was poorly attended and we lost heavily. Our intermediate team play the second round of the Ronan Cup v St. Declan's at 1pm on Sunday 24th April. Players must be there at 12. The youth club began training on Wednesday 13th of April in Gladstone Park at 6:30pm for under 8's, 10's and 12's. New members are most welcome. We welcome all new members. Tara

We are delighted to inform you that Tara Youth GFC will be holding their annual Golf Day on Saturday 30th April 2016, at Stanmore Golf Club. 1.30pm. We would like to offer you the opportunity to enter a team in this year’s event, which is generally acknowledged to be a very enjoyable day for the participating golfers.

Tir Chonaill Gaels

The club would like to express its sincere condolences to ex-player Conor Beirne and his family on the recent passing of his father, Martin. RIP. Peter McGlynn U13's Tournament - Saturday 23rd April - Greenford -Throw-in at 10.30am. There will also be a Blitz for U6, U8 & U10’s running alongside this Tournament. All TCG Players are requested to wear their club tops. U16s - No Training Friday 22nd April. U16 Challenge Game - Sat, Apr 23 v St Josephs, Waltham Cross, Herts - Leaving Greenford at 3pm. Good Luck to TCG's Brian Moran as he takes part in this weekend’s London Marathon in aid of the NSPCC.

Oisíns GLC (Manchester)

Our dinner dance is being held 23rd April at Old Trafford Cricket Ground. Guest speaker on the night is Tyrone legend Peter Canavan with music by Dara Woods band. Our men's and ladies’ teams will be collecting their medals from the 2015 season, with the seven pieces of silverware won by the club being displayed on the night, including the Tommie O'Donhoue cup won by the ladies in the All-Britain final. Tickets can be purchased from a committee member or contact Oisín CLG through Facebook.

St Brendans

St Brendan’s GFC got their Division 2 league campaign off to a flying start on Saturday with a defeat of Neasden Gaels at Wormwood Scrubs, 3-11 to 2-03. Training will take place on Tuesday night 7pm at Green School, Busch Corner, London Road, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 5BB.

Dulwich Harps

The Men’s team played in the final round of the McArdle Cup against Fr Murphys recently, running out comprehensive winners on a scoreline of 4-34 to 0-4. Well done to all players involved. Training continues on Peckham Rye Common on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m. For further information, please contact Alan Grogan on 07472 211445. St Josephs

Membership is open for renewal for this year and can be paid via a number of different avenues. Your Club Membership can now be registered and paid online by Credit Card, Debit Card (such as Visa/Debit) or by Cheque. Subscribe and register online to have your own Account, where full details on your Membership will always be available to you – please visit our website. Training has now resumed for the Season and takes place on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s starting at 19:30 sharp in Perivale Park – Postcode UB6 8TJ. If the location/Day & time is to change please keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook page for updates. Transport to and from training and pick-up from stations/bus stops can be arranged, if required. The Murphy Cup final was supposed to take place on Saturday past, however was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Ruislip.
