BRIAN O’DRISCOLL has criticised BT Sport for publishing a teaser of his interview with Craig Doyle, entitled 'Brian O’Driscoll on Lions omission'.
O'Driscoll had tried to avoid revisiting the British and Irish Lions saga ahead of this Saturday’s clash with Wales, but his attempts proved unsuccessful.
The former Ireland captain was left unimpressed by BT Sport's intentions and tweeted both the media organisation and Craig Doyle “thanks for that. One question in an interview & you put it in the headline. Typical.”
“Unbelievably annoying headline. So annoyed with it. Who cares any more.
“I told them to edit it to within an inch of its life....”
The build-up to the weekend's fixture has been dominated by the O’Driscoll and Warren Gatland storyline, where the Ireland player was dropped from the final Lions Test last summer.
Both parties have insisted that the matter is finished and that there is nothing left to be discussed.
O'Driscoll rowed back on his initial criticism of Doyle and added:
Just for the record it was sloppy journalism by digital in BTsport not Craig Doyle. #Onlyblamehimforslowfibrepoweredbroadband

The video clip of the interview has been since taken down.
