DUBLIN NATIVE Becky Lynch has hit back at veteran wrestler Ric Flair's comments about her.
The wrestler known as Big-Time Becks' has had run-ins with Charlotte Flair, Ric's daughter, and this has come to media attention over the last few weeks. Lynch noted she no longer trusts The Queen.
Flair senior commented on the situation earlier this week, tweeting:
"Think I'm Going To Have To Make The Trip Personally To See You Beat The P*ss Out Of @MsCharlotteWWE! I Don't Think So Sister, The Man, Big Time Becks, Or Whatever You Call Yourself. There's Not Enough Choreography In The Business To Save You @BeckyLynchWWE."
Lynch spoke about the tweet on Ariel Helwani's MMA Hour, saying the comments are "sad" and said he needed clout.
"Look, I saw that tweet.
The one that you're referring to. The one that I'm kind of referring to and I looked at it and I wrote out a response that would have been quite biting and I deleted it and I let it go because I think it's really sad because this is a legend at one point. This legend, a 16-time world champion Ric Flair is now jealous of me. It's cool for me. And is now trying to use me to get clout to promote whatever he has going on next because he's dug himself into a hole with other things. So I kind of was just like, ah let me let him out of it because it's kind of sad. It's kind of sad," Lynch said.
The Nature Boy took issue with Lynch's response, as he fired back in another tweet, writing:
"So Disappointed! I Did This Out Of Respect For You @BeckyLynchWWE! It Made You Millions & Made Me Nothing. After 40 Years Of Being The Man... The Company Doesn't Own It, And Neither Do You! I'll Always Be The Man! Ask Your Husband.
I don’t understand why people still come at Becky Lynch after she destroyed Ronda like this. You’re not gonna win against her.

Within the tweet, Ric referred to his previous battle with WWE over 'The Man' trademark in 2019 after Lynch started using the term as a nickname.
Flair filed two trademarks in 2019 but the matter was eventually settled in May 2020 after Flair sold the trademarks to WWE for an undisclosed amount.
On September 16, an episode of the Vice series Dark Side Of The Ring aired exploring the infamous May 2002 WWE plane journey from London, England back to the U.S. which was later dubbed "The Flight From Hell."
Flair was one of several wrestlers accused of inappropriate behavior on the seven-hour journey and was later named in a lawsuit brought forward by flight attendants Taralyn Cappellano and Heidi Doyle in 2004.
Cappellano and Doyle sued WWE and a Phoenix charter air company for negligence, assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and false imprisonment.
Ric Flair denied the allegations
