Bergin lands SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division Player of the Month for June

The month of June proved to be one to remember for Ceola Bergin and she has now added the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division Player of the Month Award to top it all off.

The Wexford forward scored in each of the three league games, established herself in the starting line-up and also earned a place in the Ireland Women's Under-19 squad for the upcoming UEFA Women's Under-19 European Championships.

Wexford overcame Galway United, DLR Waves and Cork City in June, with Bergin scoring in each of those victories to ensure her team continued climbing up the league table.

It was hardly surprising that the 17-year-old topped the voting list ahead of Athlone Town's Jesi Rossman and Shelbourne's Noelle Murray, considering her recent form.

Bergin becomes the 10th different Player of the Month winner to represent Wexford in the league since 2011, with the club claiming the award on 14 occasions overall.
