Belgium & Switzerland set for Aviva double-header

The Football Association of Ireland has confirmed the first two MNT fixtures of 2024 with a home double-header against Belgium and Switzerland at the Aviva Stadium to kick-off the year.Ireland will welcome Belgium on Saturday, March 23rd, with kick-off at 5pm, before Switzerland visit Dublin on Tuesday, March 26, with kick-off at 7.45pm, in an exciting start to the year at the Aviva Stadium.Belgium last visited the Aviva Stadium in March 2022 for the FAI Centenary celebration match in an international friendly which saw four goals as Chiedozie Ogbene scored an over-head kick in an entertaining 2-2 draw.Switzerland return to Dublin for the first time since September 2019, when David McGoldrick scored in the 85th minute to secure a 1-1 draw in the UEFA EURO 2020 qualifier at the Aviva Stadium.

 

To mark the fixture confirmation of our first two home matches in 2024, the hugely-popular FAI Season Ticket has gone back on sale for a limited time only ahead of Christmas. The Season Ticket, which will guarantee your spot at the Belgium and Switzerland matches in March, is now available until Friday, December 22nd.Ireland will have another international friendly double-header in June, with the opposition to be confirmed at a later date, before the UEFA Nations League begins in September with the draw for the competition set for Thursday, February 8
