WHEN YOU'RE in need of a goal in the last minute, you really don't expect anyone to step up and do this.
The Women's National League in the Republic of Ireland returned over the weekend, and we have a goal of the season contender already.
Allow us to set the scene.
On Friday night, it was 3-2 to Galway against Cork City Eamonn Deacy Park, thanks to a lovely hat-trick from Rachel Kearns, but Becky Cassin of Cork had other ideas.
With just five minutes left in the match, Cassin hit a lovely volley from around 30 yards out, and it dipped over the Galway 'keeper beautifully.

The full highlights from the game can be seen here.
As we are saying more and more these days, it is such a shame that there were no fans present to see the ball fly in at the death.
Cassin, who is the club captain, remained modest as ever after the game, and said that their keeper should be awarded Player of the Match, and not her, despite her marvellous effort.

Spare a thought for Rachel Kearns too, who's hat-trick was slightly overshadowed by such a gorgeous late strike. Sorry, Rachel.
