The All-Ireland Intermediate Football Final between Ballinderry and Crossmolina, originally scheduled for Sunday, has been postponed following a tragic incident at the Mayo club.
The decider was set to take place at Croke Park as part of a triple-header of club finals, but it will now be rescheduled by the GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC).
Crossmolina GAA has released the following statement, expressing their devastation at the tragic news: "Crossmolina Deel Rovers are devastated by the news of the tragic incident that has occurred. Our heartfelt thoughts are with the family and friends at this difficult time.
"We have been in contact with our members involved, and they have requested that we all respect their need for privacy during this incredibly difficult time.

"Our Intermediate All-Ireland Final, scheduled for this Sunday, the 12th, has been postponed, and we will announce a rescheduled fixture once confirmed. Our club will issue no further statement at this time."
The GAA released the following statement this morning confirming that the game will be rescheduled: “Due to a tragic event, the AIB GAA Football All-Ireland Intermediate Club Championship Final between Crossmolina Deel Rovers and Ballinderry has been postponed.
“The CCCC will confirm the re-fixture details in due course.”
The other ties at Croke Park will go ahead as scheduled on Sunday. These include the All-Ireland Intermediate Hurling Final, featuring Cork’s Watergrasshill and Galway’s Tynagh Abbey-Duniry, as well as the All-Ireland Junior Final, which sees Kilkenny’s St. Lachtain’s face Cork’s Russell Rovers.
