A CORK CITY defender dubbed ‘the new Seamus Coleman’ is on the verge of joining Arsenal.
Brian Lenihan, 20, has been in fantastic form this season for the Leesiders.
According to Cork’s Evening Echo Arsene Wenger’s chief scout Steve Rowley was at Turner’s Cross on Friday night to see the full back impress yet again.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is also keeping tabs on the youngster – as is new Aston Villa assistant manager Roy Keane.
However, it is the north Londoners who are in poll position should they table a bid for Lenihan.
Rowley, who also discovered Gael Clichy, Cesc Fabregas and Alex Song for Arsenal, rates Lenihan highly and is said to be keen to bring him to the Emirates.
