NORTHERN Ireland fans were left bitterly disappointed after Adidas unveiled the country’s new Euro 2016 kit.
After being released on Monday, many fans took to social media to share their despair with some even brandishing the shirt as “an absolute monstrosity.”
Last month, the team qualified for their first major tournament in 30 years and they will be heading to France next year.
An online petition at change.org, which attracted more than 2,000 signatures in four hours, has been created and calls for "a proper kit for Euro 2016".
Some fans suggested that the Irish FA should have sought inspiration from previous Northern Ireland shirts (see below).
Here's some of the negative reaction from fans on Twitter:
@OfficialIrishFA it looks like a training top instead of a football shirt! — Ken Whiteside (@kenwhiteside17) November 9, 2015

That's an exceptionally poor effort @OfficialIrishFA a clever move would have been to echo retro tops, 82 or 86. You'd sell more for one. — John Mahood (@Jsamahood) November 9, 2015
@Winty136 @tchrissmyth @OfficialIrishFA NI biggest campaign in years and they produce a top like that! #brutal
