New Clayton Hotel brings modern rooms and dining facilities to City of London

CLAYTON Hotel City of London is celebrating its first month in operation after opening its doors to guests for the first time back on January 24th.

The four-star hotel, which is owned and operated by Dalata Hotel Group, is the eighth Clayton to open in the UK and the third London hotel in the group, joining Clayton hotels in Chiswick and Cricklewood.  Total investment in the hotel is £91m investment and the creation of more than 60 new jobs.

Located in Aldgate East, right in the heart of the city’s Financial District, the hotel is minutes’ walk from many of London’s iconic landmarks, including the Tower of London, Brick Lane, The Gherkin and Old Spitalfields Market, providing a central location for guests who are looking for stylish and comfortable accommodation with the City of London on their doorstep.

The hotel’s design was inspired by Victorian textile warehouses and reflects the neighbourhood’s fascinating fusion of East End tradition and contemporary creativity.

The hotel boasts 212 modern and stylish bedrooms, including deluxe and executive rooms as well as luxurious suites. Each of the rooms features flat screen TVs, tea and coffee facilities and en-suite bathrooms with rainfall showers, as well as Google Chromecast, offering guests access to all the latest streaming services.

There is also a full spec onsite fitness suite offering access to the latest machines, weights and screens - available to guests only. Guests can also sit back and relax in the comfort of their own room if they wish, with 24 hour in-room dining options available.

Visitors to Clayton Hotel City of London can expect great food from the Grill restaurant as well as Dalata Hotel Group’s own coffee brand, Red Bean Roastery, a signature blend of coffee prepared by expert baristas.
