A STUNNING Beverly Hills mansion that once served as the honeymoon home of John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie has gone on the market.
The 19-bedroom property, located in one of America’s most famous zip codes 90210, spans a stunning 50,000 square feet and was constructed by English-born architect Gordon Kaufman.
It boasts two built-in movie theatres, 22-foot high ceilings, a two-story library, a tennis court, and a stunning 29 bathrooms.
Back in 1953, it also served as the temporary holiday home of the newlywed Kennedys, while the property has featured in several notable films down the years.
In 1992, the property played a prominent role in the Whitney Houston/Kevin Costner thriller The Bodyguard, serving as the luxury home of Houston’s pop superstar character Rachel Marron.
The mansion also featured in Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather.
In the film, movie producer Jack Woltz wakes in the mansion, his home in the movie, to find the decapitated head of his prize horse in his bed.
This kind of lavish luxury doesn’t come cheap, of course, and anyone looking to buy the mansion will need pretty deep pockets.
Steeped in history and luxury, The Beverly Hills property sold for $95 million five years ago and is now listed for $135 million.
That’s actually a drop on the price back in 2007 though, when the property was listed for $165 million.
It’s not the only Kennedy property up for sale either at the moment.
JFK's sister, Jean Kennedy Smith, has also put her lavish Hamptons estate on the market for $35 million.
