Rememeber this moment: Dog spotted taking orders for takeaway pints in Irish pub in 2021

IT SEEMS humans aren't the only ones missing the social aspect of heading to the pub and chatting with friends and strangers alike.

Pubs have been closed across Ireland on and off-- mostly off-- for over a year now, and you'd miss the random friends you'd make on a night out.

But one pub, Cork city's The Atlas bar opened a hatch on Marlboro Street to allow people to buy takeaway coffee and cocktails as Ireland basked in rare sunshine-- and there was a very special guest serving customers in 2021

Their newest bartender, Eddie the golden labrador retriever, was spotted by Cork man James Kennedy keeping an eye on the bar over the weekend and taking orders from locals.

James captured a clip of the dedicated barman-- er, bardog-- taking an order from a man ordering "three Heineken, two Guinness and a Gin & Tonic".

"Okay? Did you get that?"

While we're sure Eddie totally understood the order, he doesn't have the opposable thumbs required to actually pour the pints-- but the brilliant clip quickly went viral on TikTok, having been viewed close to 300,000 times to date.

The Atlas Bar in Cork also shared the fantastic clip on their Facebook page, along with pictures of more furry friends who stopped at the hatch to cool down with a cold drink.

A big massive thanks to all, especially our furry friends, who came to our hatch to support us over the weekend!
We have more exciting news on the way & will be open again on Thursday from 3pm!
