It’s now so cold, Hell has literally frozen over

WINTER IS upon us and now, to make matters worse, Hell has quite literally frozen over.

Ireland is bracing itself for the coldest temperatures of this winter so far but spare a thought for the residents of Hell in Michigan over in the US.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures have slipped to as low as -26C with several states in the northern part of the US suffering the effects of a Polar Vortex.

A polar vortex is a large area of low pressure and cold air that surrounds the North and South poles.

At several points over winte, the polar vortex expands over the northern hemisphere, sending cold air southward and prompting a significant drop in temperatures in the US.

The wind chill has seen some areas of North America experience temperatures as low as 45C.

It’s got pretty chilly in Hell too, with a message confirming as much on the town’s official Facebook page.

According to the note posted online, while the town has not had much in the way of snow, it has proven to be “much colder.”

“Yes, Hell has frozen over,” the message confirmed.
