Friends reunite after Covid-19 lockdown at Mayo Association Luton annual dinner

THE Mayo Association in Luton recently held its 27th annual dinner at St Joseph’s Parish Centre in Luton attended by nearly 200 guests.

Due to the global pandemic, it has been two years since the last such gathering and there was a great atmosphere as friends and family members were reunited.

The Mayo Asc Luton have always been generous supporters of charitable causes, and during the evening, cheques for £3,000 each were presented to two worthy charities, the East Anglian Air Ambulance and the Stroke Unit at Luton and Dunstable hospital.

Deceased members were remembered on the night, including two stalwarts of the Association who have passed away recently, former Chairman Frank Horan and founder member Helen Dixon.
