LEARNING Irish can be tricky enough growing up in Ireland - let alone if you've grown up in Britain.
This did little to deter these Gaeilge enthusiasts, who have been learning Irish in cities across the country.
Twenty multilingual youngsters from across Britain were in London last week to receive their Fáinne awards from Ambassador Dan Mulhall at the Irish Embassy.
The dedication among the students was clear - with the Guilfoyle brothers from Lancashire (pictured above) leaving home at 4am to get to London on time.
Also managing to scoop an award was the Guilfoyle's teacher, Terri Lynk, who was named the Best Irish Teacher in Britain.
