THE WORLD is mourning the loss of Roger the kangaroo following the passing of the world's most muscular marsupial.
Roger first took the internet by storm in 2015 when a video of him crushing a metal bucket went viral.
Known for boasting the kind of six-pack most people can only dream of, Roger had suffered his fair share of tragedy too having lost his mother when she was struck by a passing car.
His newfound celebrity status saw Roger emerge as a social media personality, amassing over 1.3 million Facebook and Instagram followers in the years that followed.
But fans were left saddened over the weekend when the Australian kangaroo sanctuary where Roger lived confirmed the sad news that the world's buffest kangaroo had passed away, aged 12.
The Sanctuary wrote: "Sadly Roger has passed away of old age. He lived a lovely long life and was loved by millions around the world. We will always love you and miss you Roger."
"Roger was our alpha male for many years, and he grew up to be a kangaroo that people all over the world have grown to love as much as we love him too."
"So we'll reflect on his life today and for many years to come. We've laid him to rest out here so he can always be with his family."
The world reacted with sadness to the news.

RIP Roger, the kickboxing red kangaroo who was insanely ripped. I’m hoping @HaidiLun and the entire Sydney broadcast team will add some commentary to his canned obituary today. https://t.co/flYD91oZp9
