A WOMAN has died in Galway following being hit by a vehicle on a farm.
In the area of Portumna, County Galway, an elderly woman has died after a collision with a vehicle.
The woman believed to be in her mid-70s was hit by a farm vehicle at approximately 4 pm on Friday.
According to RTÉ, the woman was rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead a short time after the incident.
The scene of the incident has been sealed off pending the Garda Technical Bureau's investigation and the State pathologist's report.
