A YOUNG woman has died after being hit by a car.
The woman is said to have been 26 years of age before her untimely death and was killed in Co. Kerry.
Newstalk reports that the victim was knocked down at approximately 7.15pm.
The woman was walking on the N22 at Glenfesk village before the car collided with her.
She was brought to University Hospital Kerry and was pronounced dead.
Gardaí are currently appealing for witnesses at Killarney Garda Station.
