A WOMAN has been arrested after nearly €1million worth of cannabis was seized in Co. Louth today.
The drugs were discovered during a search of a property in Drogheda on Wednesday morning.
The cannabis herb has an estimated street value of around €940,000.
The woman, aged in her 30s, is being questioned at Drogheda Garda Station after her arrest for drug trafficking offences.
The search was carried by gardaí from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau assisted by officers from the Criminal Assets Bureau.
It was part of an intelligence-led operation targeting serious organised crime activity in Louth.
