GARDAÍ investigating a shooting incident in which a baby, his mother and his teen uncle were shot have arrested a woman.
The shooting occurred in Parlickstown, Mulhuddart in Co Dublin on a halting site on Monday afternoon just after 12.30pm.
Six month old baby boy John Collins was struck by up to 30 pellets in the incident and sustained a broken leg, while his mother Lynn Doyle was shot in the arm and his uncle Matthew Collins was shot in the body.
It's understood the three family members were not the intended targets of the attack.
The grandfather of the injured baby said the shooting incident is as a result of a long running feud between two families in the Travelling community.
While one man who was arrested on the day of the incident remains in custody, An Garda Síochána have said they have arrested a 23 year old woman in Wicklow in connection with the incident.
She is being detained under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 at a Dublin Garda Station.
Gardaí have also said they have recovered a firearm as a result of searches in the Parslickstown area yesterday.
