HAVE YOU ever wondered why Ireland is so green?
According to a new video by the European Space Agency, Ireland's rich green grassland is caused by an abundance of annual rainfall.
The video, presented by Malí Cecere, shows a new colourful mosaic of Ireland that combines 16 different radar scans taken in May 2015 by the space agency's Senital-1 satellite
The mosaic shows an array of colours that represent certain Irish geographical hotspots.
Urban centres such as Dublin and Belfast are clearly visible in bright yellow whereas red colours indicate rocky mountain formations.
Different colours throughout the mosaic show various changes that occurred during the agency's 12 day analysis of Ireland.
