The weather this week is set to be fulls of ups and downs

Monday morning will be dry with good sunny spells for a time especially in the east and south.

Highest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees Celsius in a moderate westerly breeze, freshening later in the day and becoming strong and gusty in northern parts.

Tuesday will begin a cloudy, breezy day, with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, persistent in places during the morning across Connacht and Ulster.

Top temperatures of 13 to 17 C., in blustery westerly winds.

Early drizzle on Wednesday will clear to give a mostly dry and bright day.

Some sunny spells will develop in Munster and Leinster.

Top temperatures 14 to 17 C., in light variable or southwest breezes.

Thursday will start a dry, bright and locally sunny day but outbreaks of rain and drizzle are set to develop early in the morning and will then spread to all areas in the afternoon.

Top temperatures will be between 13 and 17 degrees.

Friday is forecasted as being unsettled with some heavy rain in places.
