TEMPERATURES in the Emerald Isle are set to get even lower.
According to Met Éireann, wind, rain and snow have been predicted for the coming hours.
The weather warning comes in as a status yellow warning, with raging winds predicted for County Galway and the most part of Munster and Leinster.
It's said winds will reach up to 55 and 65 km/h with some gusts reaching up to 110 km/h possible.
The wind weather warning is to occur between today, the 10th February 2018 at 3 pm and last until this evening at 8 pm. Connacht, alongside counties of Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal have been given rain warnings, registered as status yellow as well.
The rain is set to continue to later this afternoon for the affected areas with the rainfall of today and this evening set to accumulate between 25 and 35 mm rainfall in the specified counties.
A status yellow snow-ice warning has been given for the whole island of Ireland, with Ulster and Connacht set to get the worst effects.
Frosty and snowy showers will give predicted accumulation of 3 cm of snow, with a larger amount of snowfall expected on mountainous areas and on higher ground.
