Weather predicted with dropping temperatures

THE IRISH weather is looking to change once again.

Sunday's temperatures are predicted to reach highs of 14 degrees but it looks like the mild weather is to make a swift departure.

According to Met Éireann, the week's weather looks to be varied, with more lows predicted than highs.

Monday will start off cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle over much of the country, however brighter conditions and sunny spells in the north and west will gradually extend countrywide by the early afternoon, with just the isolated shower.

Tomorrow night is said to be dry, with some frosty spells in some counties.

Tuesday is predicted as dry in most parts of the country. Tuesday will be a cloudy day overall reportedly but in the evening there will be thickening clouds.

Clear spells and showers will settle on Tuesday night.

It's set to be cold and windy on Wednesday, with sunshine and showers, some of the showers heavy with hail and sleet, with some falls of snow possible on higher ground.

Showers will arrive on Wednesday evening, bringing with them a risk of icy stretches on untreated surfaces.

Weather will still be cold and blustery on Thursday, but less windy than Wednesday.
