The footballer was arrested for being intoxicated in public and for swearing.
Rooney's offence took place on December 16 but was released and paid a $25 fine on January 4.
The soccer player currently plays for D.C. United in the Major League in the States.
He was arrested by the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority at Dulles International Airport.
