THE THRILLING trailer for the new series of Netflix documentary Making A Murderer has been revealed.
The show became a global phenomenon after it premiered on the streaming platform in December 2015.
The hotly-anticipated second season hits Netflix next Friday, October 19, however those unable to wait that long can take a sneak peek at what to expect in the trailer below.
The first season of the series told the story of Steven Avery, a man who spent 18 years behind bars for a crime he didn’t commit before DNA evidence exonerated him.
Just two years after his release, he and his then 16-year-old nephew Brendan Dassey were convicted of another murder they maintain they did not commit.
Part 2 sees Avery’s post-conviction lawyer Kathleen Zellner uncover unexpected evidence about what may have happened to murder victim Teresa Halbach and about how and why the jury convicted Steven of her murder.
“Steven and Brendan, their families and their legal and investigative teams have once again graciously granted us access, giving us a window into the complex web of American criminal justice,” said executive producers, writers and directors Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos.
