WITH Ireland gearing up for the referendum on same-sex marriage on May 22, the Irish community in Britain are making their voices heard with an online video campaign.
#VoteWithUs is an online video campaign to give a voice to 'yes' voters in this year's polls.
The Dublin-based campaign urges the Irish all over the world to go on camera and lend their support to the campaign.
On March 22, two months to the day before the ground-breaking vote goes to poll, the London Irish community came together in Soho to create dozens of videos in support of the yes vote.
Below is the video posted by Aidan O’Callaghan, a pharmacist from Cork, who lives and works in London.
He says he is tired of feeling like a second-class citizen when he visits home and hopes that same-sex couples in Ireland will soon feel the same level of respect and acceptance as their straight counterparts.
