WATCH: Beautiful moment tiny bird 'revives' its friend after it flew into glass window in Limerick

TOUCHING footage has emerged of a little blue-tit reviving another blue-tit after it had accidentally flown into a glass window.

The video was captured by Yvonne Clifford from inside her home in Co. Limerick.

One of the little birds is seen lying stunned on a garden table after apparently flying into Yvonne's patio door.

A second bird then flies down to check on his motionless friend and see if it can help.

The rescuer bird hops around the injured one, lightly pecking and nudging him, until incredibly, the stunned blue-tit springs into life, flipping back onto his feet.

A few seconds pass, and the rescue bird excitedly circles his friend, doing a few final health checks with his beak.

After a couple of encouraging nudges, the two flutter off into the garden together.

"So this poor little bird hit our window over the weekend and what happened next just made our day. Isn't nature simply amazing!" Yvonne wrote on Facebook.

The charming video was posted to the Irish Bird Identification Public Facebook group on October 13 and has been shared over  nine thousand times.

"That is the most beautiful video I've ever seen," said one Facebook user.

"So many underestimate wildlife. These birds could teach compassion and patience to a lot of human beings."
