TWO women aged in their 30s have been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of Irish teenager Reece Cullen.
Gardaí arrested the pair in the Tallaght area of south Dublin this morning at around 7am.
Tragic Reece, 16, died on January 5 after he was attacked near his home in Jobstown.
The talented boxer was discovered gravely injured by a female neighbour at the foot of a staircase.
He was rushed to Tallaght Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination found that Reece died from a single stab wound to the heart.
The teenager had recently lost his mother, Ann Marie Cullen, in September 2016 when he lost his life.
A 29-year-old woman was previously arrested in connection with the killing but was later released without charge.
A 14-year-old boy was questioned by detectives in January, after he went to Tallaght Garda Station with his mother.
The two women arrested today in connection with Reece’s killing are currently being held at Tallaght Garda Station.
They have been detained until further notice under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939/98.
