TWO boys have been arrested in connection with the murder of teenager Anastasia Kriegel.
The 14-year-old's naked body was found in a disused farmhouse on the Clonee road in Lucan, Dublin, last week.
She had last been seen alive three days previously in St Catherine's Park, close to her home in Leixlip, on May 14.
A post-mortem examination found that Ana had been sexually assaulted and died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Gardaí confirmed this morning that two youths had been arrested.
In a statement, a Garda spokesman said: "Gardaí can confirm that two juvenile males arrested yesterday 23 May as part of the investigation into the murder of Anastasia Kriegel remain in custody.
"They are being held at two separate Dublin Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984."
Gardaí have also warned people in the local area not to take matters into their own hands amid fears of vigilante attacks.
Anyone who has any information, or who can assist with the investigation, is urged to contact Lucan Garda Station on 01 666 7300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111, or any Garda station.
