A REWARD of €100,000 has been offered with a renewed appeal for missing Irishman Trevor Deely - 17 years after his disappearance.
The money, offered by an anonymous donor, comes alongside the Deely's family fresh appeal for information after CCTV of Trevor's last sighting was digitally enhanced by British specialists.
The enhanced footage has allowed investigating gardaí to see a man dressed in black acting suspiciously around Trevor Deely on his last recorded sighting.
Trevor Deely was last captured on CCTV passing the Bank of Ireland ATM machine on Haddington Road in Dublin at approximately 4.14 am on December 8, 2000.
Following his Christmas party that evening, Trevor called to his place of work to collect an umbrella as it was raining.
After the digital enhancement, the CCTV footage captures a man dressed in black acting suspiciously outside the rear entrance of Bank of Ireland, Asset Management Offices on Wilton Terrace, Dublin 2 between 3am and 3.34am, prior to Trevor Deely arriving.
At 3.34am, moments before Trevor approaches his place of work the man steps out onto the footpath and follows Trevor Deely to the back gate of Bank of Ireland, Asset Management before conversing with him at 3.35am.

Trevor was last captured on CCTV passing the Bank of Ireland ATM machine on Haddington Road at approximately 4.14am.
Gardaí believe that the man acting suspiciously outside of Trevor’s place of work is the same person that is seen passing the Bank of Ireland ATM on Haddington Road 30 seconds after Trevor Deely that morning.
Speaking to Claire Byrne Live on RTÉ, Trevor's sister Michelle Deely said the new footage was difficult to watch, but urged anyone with information to come forward.
"It's difficult for us to watch. In terms of significance, it's just a clearer image of someone who spoke to Trevor that night, it may mean nothing, but it's just another person that could come forward.
"There's very few people that could come forward that actually spoke with Trevor after he left Buck Whaley's, so his work colleague is the last confirmed person who spoke with Trevor so I think this could be very helpful.
"There might be just something in that snippet of conversation that could be helpful, we don't know.
"It's important for the person in the footage at the top of Haddington Road comes forward because that's the last sighting of Trevor.
"We know it's a big ask," Michelle said. "And we know we've asked for so much already but I think we need to keep asking for the public's help in coming forward with information."
The Garda Review Team at Pearse Street Garda Station has been investigating Trevor Deely’s disappearance since September, 2016 under the command of Detective Superintendent Peter O’ Boyle and Detective Inspector Paul Costello.
Speaking at Harcourt Square, Detective Superintendent Peter O’ Boyle said: "A complete review of the case has taken place and follow up investigations are now being carried out.
"We are placing particular emphasis on the new CCTV that captures a male who can only be described as acting suspiciously in the short period before Trevor enters the bank at 3.35am on December 8 2000.
"Our first appeal is for this male if he recognises himself to come forward and secondly for anyone else to come forward who may recognise him to notify us through Crimestoppers on 1800 250025.
"I renew my appeal to the public if anyone has any information into the disappearance of Trevor Deely or details as to his whereabouts to come forward."
