THREE people are in hospital with serious injuries following a horrific two-car crash in Cork.
The head-on collision occurred on the N25 in Midleton just before 5pm yesterday afternoon.
A man and a woman travelling in one car and a woman in another vehicle were all taken to Cork University Hospital.
Their injuries are said to be serious but not life-threatening.
A Garda investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
In a statement, a Garda spokesman said: "Midleton Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a head on traffic collision between two cars which occurred on the N25, near Churchtown, Midleton, on 9/5/18 at approximately 4:55pm.
"Three people were taken to hospital from the scene. Investigations are ongoing."
