GARDAI HAVE shared an adorable “thank you” note sent to them by a 10-year-old alongside a selection of sweets, chocolates and biscuits.
Officers at Raheny Garda Station in Dublin were blown away by the gift sent to them by a 10-year-old local boy by the name of Jack.
A box containing Haribo, Cadbury’s chocolate bars and some biscuits to go alongside a nice cup of tea were sent to officers currently working on the frontline of Ireland’s battle with Covid-19.
They were delivered alongside a wonderful handwritten note from the young sender, who was eager to show his appreciation for those officers serving the local community.
“Thank you so much for all the work your [sic] doing for the country in this time of need,” the note read.
“This is just something we wanted to give back. Enjoy the sweets from Jack, aged 10.”

The thoughtful gift was greatly appreciated by the officers at Raheny Station, who took to social media to share a message of thanks to Jack for his kind presents.
Writing alongside a picture of the note and sweet treats received, the officers said “10yr old Jack left a few goodies & a lovely note at Raheny Gda Station thanking all the Gardaí for their work during #Covid19.”
“Fair play to you Jack & thanks a million, very much appreciated”.
The kind gift comes just days after a young girl who used the money she received from her confirmation to buy sweets and savoury treats for officers in Finglas.
It comes as Garda across Ireland continue to provide invaluable support to the country’s most vulnerable in this time of need.
Officers have been pictured doing everything from walking guide dogs to fixing central heating systems and telephone lines.
