A TEENAGER has died and three others have been injured following a car crash in Co. Donegal.
Two cars were involved in the collision, which happened in the Milford area on Tuesday evening just after 9.30pm.
A 19-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two others travelling in the same car, both aged 20, were removed and taken to Letterkenny University Hospital.
The driver of the second car, a man in his 50s, was also taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"The scene is currently being preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road at the crash site is closed to traffic. Local diversions are in place," a garda spokesperson said.
Gardai are now appealing for witnesses to come forward and any road users who were in the area at the time with dash-cam footage to contact Milford Garda Station on 074 9153060.
The news comes after a man was also killed after being struck by a car in Co. Wexford on Tuesday night.
At approximately 9.50pm in the New Ross area, a car fatally struck a pedestrian on the N25 at Portersland.
The 36-year-old male pedestrian was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Waterford where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the car was reportedly unharmed.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have preserved the scene for examination and are also appealing for anyone witnesses or any road users in the area at the time to come forward, and contact New Ross Garda Station on (051) 426 030.
