Taylor Swift secretly spent Christmas over in a stunning Irish Castle in Limerick

TAYLOR SWIFT secretly spent her Christmas over in Ireland enjoying a romantic retreat with actor boyfriend Joe Alwyn, it has been revealed.

According to the Limerick Leader, the Bad Blood singer enjoyed a secretive stay at the famous Glin Castle in West Limerick.

Their visit was a closely guarded secret with Alwyn, Swift’s boyfriend of two years, keen for the relationship to remain as private as possible.

Ireland and the eye-catching surroundings of the County Limerick property proved the perfect destination for the no expense-spared stay.

Standing proudly in the middle of a 400-acre wooded demesne close to the banks of the River Shannon, Castle Glin appears like something out of a fairytale, with three sets of battlemented Gothic folly lodges nearby.

Swift and Alwyn reportedly blended with the locals, even popping into a local pub to enjoy a pint or two in relative anonymity.

Goss.ie, who broke news of the pair’s stay, also revealed that staff at Glin Castle were made to sign a non-disclosure agreement before their arrival to ensure the couple managed to enjoy their break before word got out.

"Before Taylor’s arrival, staff at Glin Castle had to sign a non-disclosure agreement, to protect her identity during their stay," a source told the website.

"She was also spotted at the local pub O’Shaughnessy’s, but it’s pretty old-fashioned so not many people there knew who she was.

"Taylor and Joe kept a low profile but seemed to really enjoy themselves as they explored the Irish countryside."

Evidence of their trip together was scarce online, given that Swift opted against any social media posts during her stay.

However, Alwyn appeared to let their location slip after posting an image of himself on Instagram, taking a walk along Knight’s Walk in Glin.

With lavish dining rooms and luscious ensuite bedroom suites along with some 15 acres of pleasure grounds, Glin Castle’s reputation precedes it – as Swift and Alwyn may well attest!
