The minister is to visit the British capital today.
The Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade will visit London on Wednesday for a series of high-level engagements with members of the British Government and members of the opposition.
The visit will provide an opportunity to discuss the ongoing Brexit negotiations, as well as the current political situation in Northern Ireland.
Speaking of the visit, the Tánaiste said: "I am pleased to once again be visiting London to meet with members of the British Government, and I am looking forward to a good exchange on the current state of play in the Brexit negotiations, as well as the current situation in Northern Ireland."
Looking forward to discuss negotiations on Brexit, Mr Coveney said: "What is needed now is for the negotiations to be intensified. Lack of progress on the Protocol on Ireland and Northern Ireland, including the backstop, in recent rounds of negotiations is very disappointing.
"The time for postponing decisions has passed. I will be interested in hearing from key members of the British Government on how the UK intends to move the negotiations forward in the coming weeks," he added.
