ACTRESS Margot Kidder has passed away at the age of 69.
Best known for playing Lois Lane in the Superman films throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s, the Hollywood star passed away yesterday in her hometown.
The cause of death is not yet known.
The Franzen-Davis Funeral Home in Livingston, Montana confirmed the news this evening.
The Canadian-born actress shot to fame playing reporter Lois Lane opposite Christopher Reeves in 1978’s Superman and reprised the role three times more.
She also appeared in “The Great Waldo Pepper” and the 2014 children’s TV series “R.L Stine’s The Haunting Hour”.
The star was still working up to her death, starring in "The Vagina Monologues" on Broadway.
She was married three times and leaves a daughter.
She also was a prominent political activist, campaigning against the Gulf War, energy fracking and in support of Democrat Bernie Sanders in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
