STUNNING FOOTAGE showcasing the spectre of Storm Lorenzo as it creeps towards Ireland’s west coast has surfaced online.
The footage, which was recorded at around 5:45pm on Thursday, October 3, shows the intimidating storm front approaching mainland Ireland.
Billowing, thick, grey storm clouds can be seen steadily approaching the coastline.
It was uploaded to Twitter by The Eco Eye Team, an account for Environmental documentaries & TV by environmentalists.
The scenes unfolded amid warnings from forecasters that the Irish coast can expect waves "the size of a two story house" while the rest of the country is brace for 120km/h winds.
Four weather warnings have also been issued by Met Eireann.
"Southwesterly winds veering westerly will reach mean speeds 60 to 80km/h with gusts generally of 100 to 120km/h, higher in coastal regions,” one warning said.

It's thought that around 4,000 homes are without electricity following Storm Lorenzo’s arrival.
Met Eireann is predicting “damaging gusts” and potential flooding today (Friday, October 4).
The forecaster said: “Very windy with spells of heavy rain this morning - especially across the northern half of the country with damaging gusts and spot flooding.
