A decrease in the drought conditions for the Emerald Isle has been predicted.
Met Éireann has given an update to the drought advisory.
The State broadcaster has said there will be some alleviation in drought conditions in places this week.
However, there will be a little initial reduction in soil moisture deficits as evapotranspiration rates will remain high.
The update was given today, July 9 at 2 pm and is valid until the end of the week.
There is due to be another update on condition on Friday 13 July 2018 at 12 pm.
