SHOCKING FOOTAGE has surfaced of the moment high winds blew a truck over in Co Galway today.
The clip comes as Storm Jorge continues to batter much of Ireland with the west coast taking the brunt of the extreme weather.
In the video, a truck can be seen driving along the N59 at Maam Cross in Connemara.
While the strong winds are already beginning to push the vehicle off the road, the footage captures the exact moment it is knocked over onto its side.
Thankfully, the driver of the truck escaped from the incident unscathed.

A statement from An Garda Siochana confirmed officers had attended the scene of the crash.
“Gardaí are at the scene of an overturned truck in the Maam Cross area of Galway. Luckily the driver of the truck sustained no injuries,” they said.
“An Garda Siochana are advising that people adhere to the weather warnings in place and ask that people do not make unnecessary journeys.”

The incident further highlights the need for motorists across Ireland to exercise caution this weekend and limit journeys to the bare minimum.
Co Galway is already under a status red wind warning while an orange alert is in place for the rest of the country.
Bus Éireann has suspended services in counties Galway and Clare for much of the day, while anyone travelling by ferry, rail and plane is being encouraged to check to see if their journeys are affected.
