THE wife of a top Irish horse trainer has died following a tragic accident while hunting.
The death of 54-year-old Maria O'Grady - wife of trainer Edward O'Grady - was announced by her stepson Jonathan on November 25.
Mr O'Grady said: "On behalf of Edward and family, it is with shock and profound sorrow that I confirm Maria O'Grady died suddenly today following a tragic fall on the hunting field.
"Beloved wife, revered mother and ardent friend, she will be inordinately missed."

Tipperary native Ms O'Grady is survived by husband Edward, daughters Mimi and Rosie Mae, and Edward's older children Jonathan, Amber and Lucy and extended family.
Husband Edward O'Grady is an Irish National Hunt trainer and has had many winners in both Ireland and Britain and is the third most successful Irish trainer at Cheltenham training 18 winners.
Ms O'Grady will be reposing at home on Monday, November 27, with a funeral Mass in the Church of St Joseph the Worker, Moyglass, on Tuesday, November 28, at 11.30am.
