SEVEN people, including a baby, have been taken to hospital after a ‘horrific’ collision involving a stolen car in Belfast, Co. Antrim this evening.
The incident, which involved five other cars, happened on the Crumlin Road at Ardoyne just before 7pm this evening.
The SDLP – whose local councillor, Paul McCusker, is at the scene – described the collision as ‘horrific’.
The PSNI confirmed the stolen car, an Audi A1, was reported stolen from Thirlmere Gardens two miles away on Sunday, July 1.

Superintendent Muir Clarke said the Police Ombudsman is investigating the incident.
He said: “The matter has been referred to the Police Ombudsman’s Office who are currently investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision therefore it would be inappropriate to comment further pending the outcome of that investigation.”
Four people were taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital while two were taken to the nearby Mater Hospital.
