A DUBLIN schoolboy has gone viral after dressing as his favourite UFC star, Conor McGregor, for Halloween.
Seven-year-old Mason O’Connor from Kiltipper in Tallaght is the talk of Instagram after his mum posted a video of the youngster dressed as the ‘Notorious’.
The clip captured the moment Mason made his way into school dressed as McGregor.
Suited up and wearing two homemade UFC belts, Mason made his way from his parents’ car to the school door accompanied by a suitably pumped hiphop soundtrack.
His drawn-on ginger beard, fake tattoos, sunglasses and slicked back hair only added to the outfit’s authenticity and the general amusement of what’s already the best Halloween costume of 2018.
"When your 7yr is absolutely obsessed with Conor McGregor @thenotoriousmma and it's dress up day who wants to be a batman when u can be the king," his mother wrote alongside the video.
The video has proven a hit already, clocking up close to 200,000 views at the time of writing.
His excellent efforts are made all the more impressive by the fact Mason hadn’t actually been planning on dressing up as the Notorious until the very last minute.
"I had bought him Batman and his little seven-month-old brother Robin but Mason said no way. So, on Wednesday with threw together his outfit for school Thursday," Vickie told the Irish Examiner.
"I drew the tattoo on his neck and chest by hand with markers."
McGregor remains a popular figure with fight fans old and young and while Mason’s is the best of the bunch, he’s definitely not the only one to have dressed up as the Irishman for Halloween.
Here are just a few of the other efforts on display across social media.

It's not just the kids who are dressing up as McGregor either - a lot of adults seem to be taken with the Irishman's distinctive look too.
