IRISH airline Ryanair has caused yet another frenzy by putting one million flights on its website for sale for as little as £20.
Ryanair is celebrating 30 years in business this year and has offered several special offers to its customers in return.
However, the low prices are not impressing Ryanair's Irish customers, who have been complaining about the deals available from Ireland's airports.
Today marks three decades since the airline’s very first flight, from Waterford Airport to London Stansted.
The flights are right across Ryanair’s network, meaning that customers in Britain have a selection of destinations to choose from - including Ireland, France and the Canary Islands.
For those planning a trip home to Ireland, Cork, Dublin, Kerry, Shannon and Knock Airports are all included in the list of destinations from London.
"This €19.85 sale will save customers a further €125m. The one thing that hasn’t changed is our fares, as we continue to offer Europe’s lowest airfares, with the biggest route network and best service," said the CMO of Ryanair, Kenny Jacobs.
The sale opened at one minute past midnight today (July 8) and will close by Sunday, July 12 at midnight again.
Some of the routes are already selling fast – with Strasbourg, Bordeaux and Alghero among the most popular destinations from Britain.
Clever marketing scheme or not, it appears to be working effectively - with many on social media unable to access the Ryanair website to book their discount trips.
And despite the low prices, some of Ryanair’s Irish customers have been complaining about the routes available from the airline’s home country.
