Ryanair's 10-hour website shutdown will leave passengers unable to check in tomorrow

RYANAIR'S website will be out of action from 7pm tomorrow evening – leaving passengers unable to check in for flights or purchase tickets for ten hours.

The airline confirmed today that their website and mobile app will both be down until 5am on Saturday morning as they undergo an upgrade.

The Irish airline is urging all passengers due to travel over the next three days to check-in for their flights today, to avoid any disruption.

“The Ryanair website and app will be closed for 10 hours from 19:00hrs on Friday 19th June to 05:00hrs on Saturday 20th June 2015, for a systems upgrade,” they stated.

“We strongly recommend that customers travelling on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th of June 2015, ensure that they have checked in online and printed their boarding passes by Thursday 18th of June 2015.”

As well as not being able to check in or make new bookings during the system shut-down, Ryanair customers will also be unable to make amendments to their flights during the 10 hour period from 7pm on Friday, June 19 until 5am on Saturday, June 20.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this upgrade, which will further improve Ryanair.com, Europe’s largest travel website,” said Ryanair’s Robin Kiely.
