ROY Keane will appear at Trafford Magistrates Court on April 8, after his case was postponed by a week.
Ireland’s assistant manager was due before the court on Tuesday, March 31 to defend allegations of road rage by a local taxi driver.
The former Manchester United and Ireland captain is expected to attend the first hearing next week.
Keane was present with the Irish team for their 1-1 draw with Poland at the Aviva on Sunday.
Whilst it is not mandatory that he attends court, the delayed hearing suggests that he may intend to do so.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police stated previously that a summons was posted on March 2 to Keane at his home address in Hale.
It was “in relation to an incident on Friday 30th January 2015 when police were called to Ashley Road, Altrincham to a report that a man had behaved aggressively towards another man.”
