Rory McIlroy's Irish house is on the market - for £2.5million

THE former home of Irish golfing superstar Rory McIlroy is on the market at a cool £2.5million.

McIlroy sold Robinhall House in Moneyreagh, Co. Down, in 2013, but not before finishing the property to an incredibly high standard.

Now, the current owners have decided to sell on the property for £2.5million - £500,000 more than the rumoured price they bought it for two years ago.

Along with everything you would expect from a luxury home, McIlroy made a few unique tweaks of his own which add extra character to the property.

Sitting on 14 acres of landscaped gardens to ensure privacy, he installed a nine-hole golf course and a tennis court, presumably to suit his former fiancée Caroline Wozniacki.

The exterior also features a freshwater lake, stocked with 1,200 brown trout, and a floodlit walkway through the expansive grounds.

But if the outside of the house is not enough to entertain you, the inside certainly will be.

Five huge reception rooms and five ensuite bedrooms provide the living quarters, along with a beautifully finished kitchen.

More excitingly, there is an 18-person home cinema and an eight-person Jacuzzi and steam hut for the new property owner and their guests to enjoy.
